All Day I Dream About Audiobooks
I do a lot of things, and I feel lucky that I get to stay busy, but that also means that I’m easily overwhelmed by the possibilities at any given moment. They sort of hover around my brain like a disorganized, but vibrant skill tree.
I’ve been getting a lot of great work narrating audiobooks- there’s a particularly strong one coming out in May that you can check out- it’s called Carry Out by Hasan Dudar, and it’s a debut short story collection that I enjoyed performing. I had to do a lot of studying to work on my pronunciation of Arabic, which I don’t speak but I worked on with a language coach and she told me I wasn’t horrible which was good news.
There’s a short story I’m gonna be narrating for Beneath Ceaseless Skies coming up. If you haven’t, check out the last story I narrated for them, Out of Draconia by Alma Alexander- it’s about dragons and it’s heartbreaking in an empowering way.
I am starting to record the audiobook for Vèvè-Punk: Birth of the Dream. I was originally going to hire someone to do the female portions, but now I’m thinking it’s better that I just take it on myself. Over the next few weeks I’m going to start posting recordings of my stories on my Patreon that you’ll be able to listen to before anyone else.
That's what's floating around my mind right now. Thanks for sticking around!
